This week on The Watchtower we break it down and put it back together!
The world has a new Spider-Man! And he’s… who? Andrew Garfield was introduced to the world as the newest Peter Parker. Will he live up to the responsibility? Or the Power? Or… the… I dunno, something else?
Up next, Makeovers!! Jeff “Clinton” Moss and Donnie “Stacy” Coulter run down the good and the bad of Wonder Woman’s new gear!
And there’s been a lot of talk about vampires lately, but they all don’t sparkle. We run down some decent comic book vampires that you may or may not of hear of.
Plus, The Forecast, Questy’s Rant Farm and Spoiler Roulette!

I still don’t understand WHY the X-Men universe needs an event dedicated to vampires, especially with Shadowland hitting at the same time. The only valid reason I can think of is that it’ll culminate in a vampire vs ninja crossover event. Which would be sick.
Now if you don’t mind I’m away to get my Tony Stark on.

I agree with Donnie, it looks like it should be for Donna Troy, but even still if it was
for Donna Troy, why would you have the jacket? it reminds me of movie X-men. and for her
bracelets it looks more like full on gauntlets.
Morbius was a vampire i did not like cause there was no real consistency with him.i
was never into vampires and never saw anything cool in them unless they were being
slaughtered. I am one of the biased fools that disliked vampires soon as those pre-teen
screamers crammed into the movie theaters to see sparkly vampires.
Now to my beef. bring the hammer on He-man. “Space” He-man was written by Jetlag
Productions they took the sci-fi/ fantasy series and made it more Sci-fi
cause the was the “In” thing again, The old shows of he-man and she-ra were still in heavy
sydication so mattel wanted to make money. the series story was not bad infact it was well
thought out for a show based on this series. alot of the designs i had a problem with.
Story idea was warriors from the future, came from a planet called Primus, they were under
attack from mutants, since they were at peace for too long they needed someone to lead them,
so they traveled back in time to Eternia and looked for the great warrior, skeletor caught
onto this plan first and met the warriors claiming to be good. He-man arrived before they could take off. in the comic, they state that he-man was still adam at the time. and skeletor
tricked the warriors from the future to take the powers of greyskull. the energy was stored
in the ship. while “Adam” and skeletor battled on the ship heading to the future, Adam did
his transformation in front of skeletor, coming to realize he did not move out of the way in
time to avoid the raw energy from the transformation leaving skeletor next to death…(whew)
when they arrive in the future skeletor gets an escape pod and climbs in, while in there
he uses a cutting torch and fashions himself new bionic parts to replace the dead flesh on
himself. so the series starts off with skeletor “acting” as a counselor for Flogg the leader of the mutants. that he-man design i was against with giving him blue spandex pants a bandoleer, and a combed back pony tail. and another thing was in the series we never got to see or even
mention any of Skeletor’s old henchmen. He-man had an episode with teela making a trip
through time but thats about it. anyways that is all i got to say on that. reason i did not
know of “Space” He-man Jeff is cause the comics came with the action figures.
good show you guys can’t wait for next weeks episode.

Wow, dude. You know almost as much about Space He-Man as I do about What Not To Wear. That was AWESOME!

Okay I read the Death of Dracula last week for shits. I actually liked it. Questy pretty much called it, but it was still pretty good. That lead me to pick up X-Men #1 today, and I like the story. Back in the day when Paco Medina drew New X-Men I was wishing I’d get to see him draw the big guns full time.
Stoked.

The new Wonder Woman outfit could always have been worse (I say “outfit” because that’s what it looks like, as opposed to an actual costume…just like Captain Steve’s track suit). Imagine if they’d chosen the wrong Image figurehead as designer and gone with Rob Liefeld instead–she’d have no feet, some kind of boxing head-gear and about 4 thousand pouches.
Speaking of vampires, does anyone else remember the movie where they sucked blood through the phone? I watched it as a kid and it really creeped me out.
