Completely agree with Donnie’s comments related to too much going on with the Lizard in the new Spider-man movie. It’s the same problem (or a similar problem, at least) to what we see with so many superhero movies (the last Spider-man in particular), in that it’s never enough to have just one villain. Because if one is good, then clearly two is better, and well three or four has to be completely fantastic, right? Hollywood really just doesn’t seem to get the idea that sometimes simpler really is better.
So at this point I figure the best we can hope for with the new Spider-man movie is that the Lizard is the only villain in the movie. Even if they do too much with him, it’s still a step up from having him be one of 3 or 4 villains filling up the film.
