Definitely one of your best podcast. I’m so down for another fem con. That was actually really enlightening to hear comics from a girls perspective. See I’m a black male so I have opinions from a black guys perspective, like for example what they were doing with black panther for awhile. But to here from another side is always refreshing and interesting.

I’m a recent fan. Found your podcast on iTunes at the beginning of the year and have been listening ever since.
Like the ladies said, I am one of the girls who reads manga/hentai and it is mainly because the story lines are so involved, in depth, and the characters are so in developed - depending on which manga you read; and of course the sex. ;-)
It was good to hear this podcast. A lot of what the ladies said is true. I used to read comic books and stopped partly due to the fact that I was made to feel out of place at the comic book store or I wasn’t ’serious’ about comic books. The main reason was because there weren’t any good storylines I was interested in for the female characters that weren’t typical and cliché. They were always short mini comics outside the main comic that lasted about 5 issues - not worth it.
I do miss reading comics, which is why I listen to your podcast on a regular basis. The only comics I read now are online and they are manga-esque. So good show! I look forward to the next episode.

I’m just glad my wife isn’t all comics-savy. She’d probably tear me a new one. I like the “using comics in the classroom” angle. I remember back in elementary school reading Tin Tin, Asterix, and Lucky Luke. They helped become a good bi-lingual Canadian.
